As a child I was always interested in music. When I was in Elementary School in Brooklyn, NY in the 1970s we used to have
a music teacher that would come to our homeroom with a paper easel and have us sing songs. He would carry candies in his pockets
and give them out to the best and loudest singers. I always got candy I guess that was the start of my musical journey. I
taught myself the guitar when I was about 12 yrs old. I got inspired by a performance of Chuck Berry on T.V. I learned enough
on the guitar to write my own songs. Later at 16 yrs old I taught myself the drums. I even dabbled in the Harmonica as well
as other instruments. The very first song I ever wrote was when I was 14 yrs old it's was called "As The World Goes
Round and Round." My most influential band are The Beatles. In 1981 at 16 yrs old I joined a Beatles tribute band called
"The Beatle Boys" it sadly only lasted a year. Through the decades we have gotten together a few times socially,
jammed, performanced together, and remain friends til this day. If I could relieve a year in my life it would be 1981. I had
such a great time being in a band at that time in my life. My mother was always very supported of my musical ambitions and
I'm forever grateful.
